La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post Multi Purpose Cooperative formally announces the opening of Appointive Posiitons for 2026. All qualified members in good standing are invited to apply.
Available Positions:
- Two (2) Members – Ethics Committee
- Three (3) Members – Conciliation and Mediation Committee
- Two (2) Members – Gender and Development Committee
- Two (2) Members – Education and Trainings Committee
- One (1) – Board Secretary
- One (1) – Treasurer
Qualifications for Appointive Positions
- Has complied with the Share Capital of P75,000 and Savings Deposit of P,5000 as of December 31, 2025 set by the LTVTP-MPC Election Code.
- Not delinquent in the payment of his/her loans.
- Complies with all obligations, duties and undertaking of a member and does not bear criminal record. He/She must avail of a court clearance.
- Patronize regularly the business of the Cooperarive and participate in the parliamentary affairs.
- He/She is willing to undergo training for the Committee members after assumption of office.
- Have no conflicting interest in the business of the Cooperative (LTVTP-MPC).
- Has not been disqualified pursuant to disqualifications prescribed in the bylaws.
- There should be a maximum of one (1) appointed officer with relationship up to the third civil degree of consanguinity or affinity to any staff or officers of the Cooperative.
- A person who did not act without authority or in excess of authority.
- A person who did not violate any provisions of the Code of Governance and Ethical Standards of the Cooperative.
NOTE: Husband and Wife although not considered relatives by consanguinity or affinity are likewise prohibited to serve as appointed officers in the same cooperative, for they are considered as one person with the same interest.
Qualifications for Board Secretary and Treasurer
Appointive officers such as the Treasurer and Board Secretary in cooperatives like the La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post Multipurpose Cooperative must meet the general qualifications set by the Philippine Cooperative Code (RA 9520) and CDA Guidelines. These emphasize integrity, competence, and membership compliance.
General Qualifications for Appointive Officers
Under Republic Act 9520 (Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008) and CDA issuances, appointive officers (Treasurer, Secretary, etc) must generally meet the following:
- Membership Status
- Must be a member in good standing of the cooperative (no arrears, active participation)
- Must meet the cooperative’s internal bylaws on eligibility
- Age and Citizenship
- At least 18 years old
- A Filipino citizen
- Education and Competency Requirements
- Treasurer: Preferably with background in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping; must be able to maintain accurate financial records.
- Board Secretary: Must have strong organizational, writing, and record-keeping skills; preferably with administrative or clerical experience.
- Integrity and Legal Standing
- Must have no criminal record involving moral turpitude.
- Must not have been convicted of offenses under cooperative laws.
- Must not be disqualified by the CDA or cooperative bylaws.
- Commitment and Availability
- Willing to attend meetings, trainings, and cooperative activities.
- Must be able to devote time and effort to the responsibilities of the office.
